To serve the community the best, Gage Area Growth Enterprise (NGage) partners with local businesses to increase childcare capacity. In 2021, NGage applied for and was accepted into the Nebraska Children & Families Foundation (Nebraska Children) C4K program. The C4K initiative coordinates strategies for increasing community access to high-quality early care and education for children from birth through age five. NGage C4K is customized to Gage County’s unique needs and workforce.

As a result of NGage C4k, funds are awarded directly to local childcare providers in Gage County. In 2022, providers like Sky High Learning Center, Little Giggles, April’s Daycare, and Preschool, and April’s Adventure Academy were awarded funds to tackle capacity concerns. As a result of their successful expansion, Gage County reduced 21% of the childcare deficit in the area.
