NGage believes the conversion of the 400-mile Trailblazer Pipeline will position Gage County, which sits at its eastern terminus, as a hub for biogenic industrial development. The existing infrastructure of this pipeline gives companies new opportunities, such as the ability to move CO2 into underground reservoirs or pull from it for their operational feedstock. While no carbon sequestration itself will actually occur in Gage County, development of the Wyoming-Nebraska Pipeline promises to modernize commercial and industrial development.
Pipeline to bolster local economy
The project has attracted attention and received funds from the Department of Energy, bringing more funds into Gage County. As governments continue to prioritize green energy, investment in the areas surrounding the pipeline will follow, improving local roads, rail, power, water, and other infrastructure. These upgrades support the pipeline and the people who live there, providing new jobs and high salaries to bolster the local economy.
