Construction of new elementary building on schedule

Work at the new elementary building in east Beatrice is on schedule, despite recent winter weather.
Superintendent Jason Alexander said January weather has prevented sub-contractors from getting to the building site.
“It’s been an interesting month for weather that has prevented the sub-contractors from actually getting to the site,” he said. “The last couple of weeks there have been several non-workdays. However, the interior portion of the building is really coming along, it's actually starting to look like a school. First coats of paint are going on and some color is being added, which is exciting to see.
