Downtown Beatrice building getting historic help, for roof replacement

A Beatrice downtown building now occupied by a new business is one of three recipients of grant funds to help refurbish historic buildings.
History Nebraska has announced its awarding over $74,000 through its Bricks and Mortar grant program to projects in Beatrice, Comstock and Verdigre.
The Beatrice project will assist removal and replacement of a flat rubber roof on the former Dole Floral Building along Ella Street…..now the home of Wicked Good Foods. Included will be new flashing and gutters. The Dole Floral Company, according to historic accounts, was incorporated in 1904.
