A Tallgrass project involving its Trailblazer Pipeline could bring Gage County into the carbon capture and sequestration industry! Current plans involve determining the right-of-way layout for a CO2 pipeline layout from Fairmont, NE, to Gage County. A terminus in Gage County would allow companies specializing in green energy practices to connect to the pipeline to either extract or deposit CO2.

NGage Believes Gage County is Up to the Task

Unlike many other major projects, this massive undertaking involves minimal commitment from the people of Gage County. The machinery and facilities are already in place; no new plants or facilities are required. There’s no risk of eminent domain to capture easements for new support pipelines. Gage County has an efficient permitting system and regulatory approvals process, streamlining the minimal construction required. Its ideal location at the end of the pipeline will bring new residents and jobs as carbon capture projects ramp up, boosting the economy.
