Duonix, a joint venture between Flint Hills Resources (a subsidiary of Koch Industries) and Benefuel Inc., celebratedtheir first full year of operation in June 2017. On hand for celebrations were company officials and Governor PeteRicketts, who said that “this [plant] represents value-added agriculture…taking commodities that we produce, processing them, turning them into something more valuable and then helping grow the economy by doing that.” Duonix is the only biodiesel plant in Nebraska and contributes to the state’s $5 billion renewable fuel industry.
