A second meeting in a series of “A Thoughtful Conversation About Housing in Our Community” was held on Tuesday morning at the Beatrice Public Library.

The group, Planting Hope, Cultivating Understanding, hosted the meeting.

Lutheran Family Services President Chris Tonniges spoke to a group of approximately 30 people about what has been done surrounding housing by the agency.

“In 2023, LFS has impacted almost 20,000 people with programming in mental and behavioral health, adoption, foster care, parenting classes, co-responder programs, and refugee resettlement,” he said. “LFS has a tradition of 132 years of serving families, children, and individuals providing safety, hope, and well-being for all people.”
