80 sites announced for 2017 Nebraska Passport program

Eighty statewide attractions are again featured in the Nebraska Tourism Commission’s summer 2017 Nebraska Passport program.

John Ricks, the commission’s executive director, said the agency is excited to host the program, especially during a year when Nebraskans will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of statehood.

The program encourages Nebraskans and tourists to travel the state collecting stamps to earn prizes, while also supporting small businesses, attractions and hidden gems, Ricks said Monday. The program has gained popularity every year since its inception eight years ago. More than 87,000 stamps were collected last year.
