Small-town charm; big-city amenities

You’ve heard of the “rural rebound”—the demographic trend of young families and retirees leaving the city life behind for a simpler, rural lifestyle. What you  might not know is that the rural rebound is hardly uniform.


So why do some regions seem to be growing while others are declining? A lot of it has to do with cost of living and access to amenities. (For a detailed analysis, check out this study from the University of Minnesota:


One of the secrets here in Beatrice/Gage County, Nebraska, is that we have big city amenities including three theatres, a live community playhouse theatre, and fine dining.  Plus there are more amenities in nearby Lincoln, Nebraska, a short 35 miles north on Highway 77.  Learn more here:
