An agriculture equipment company is planning to build a new location near Pickrell.
The North Dakota-based Butler Ag Equipment plans to build at the intersection of US Highway 77 and Nebraska Highway 34, roughly one mile west of Pickrell.
The Pickrell facility will offer Challenger, RoGator, TerraGator, White Planters, Gleaner, Sunflower, Horsch, Killbros and Trimble products.
Construction is expected to begin this fall.
Dan Butler, President of Butler Ag Equipment, stated in a press release the new location will continue the company’s expansion into Nebraska.
“We are excited to add a third location to our Butler Ag family in Nebraska,” Butler said. “The Pickrell store will further assist our efforts in providing service, parts and sales to current and future customers of the Southeast Nebraska area.”
According to the company’s website, its other Nebraska locations are in Kearney and Fremont.
Butler Ag Equipment is a division of Butler Machinery Company located in Fargo, N.D. Butler is a third generation family-owned business with 16 locations in North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. Butler Ag Equipment dates back to 1955.
