Southeast Community College (SCC) is a great asset in the area with a campus in Beatrice and two others nearby in Milford and Lincoln. SCC provides an important pipeline of trained students filling skilled jobs in Beatrice /Gage County. Many of the SCC programs connect student to businesses while they are still in school through internships. The SCC internship program serves to match talented students with interested businesses, allowing businesses to find potential employees that may fit their needs, while students can gain hands-on experience in the workforce.
Nebraska is serious about the need to place students with business and industry across the State. The Intern Nebraska program encourages businesses to seek students from both two year and four year schools and employ them as interns while they are still in college. Internships are a great way for students and businesses to learn more about each other and encourage full-time employment upon graduation.
