NGage Receives $2,500 Grant from First National Bank of Omaha
NGage Among 51 Organizations to be Awarded Community Development Grant
Beatrice, NE (December 5, 2016) — Gage Area Growth Enterprise (NGage) has been awarded a $ 2,500 grant from First National Bank of Omaha, which also operates as First National Bank Fremont and First National Bank North Platte. NGage’s mission is to assist businesses to start, grow or move to Gage County, while also increasing economic opportunities for individuals and families. The grant funding from First National Bank of Omaha will be focused toward promotion and facilitation in providing assistance to entrepreneurs and potential business start-ups by hosting monthly networking and training workshops on various topics of interest to small businesses and in follow-up one-on-one assistance as needed.
“The funding provided by First National Bank of Omaha helped NGage move forward in hosting a variety of workshops in the last year, to promote its work with small businesses and to assist a total of 32 new, existing, or potential businesses across Gage County,” said Glennis McClure, Senior Development Coordinator at NGage.
In total, First National Bank of Omaha has awarded more than $1.1 million in community development grants to 51 organizations in Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, South Dakota and Texas. The grants, which support Affordable Housing, Educated Workforce and Economic Development programs, mark the bank’s final disbursement of grant funding for the year. First National Bank awarded a total of $1,840,000 in community development grants in 2016 to organizations across its seven-state service area.
