Friday, June 03, 2016
The Gage County Communities Housing Study is complete and we're making use of it and reaching out to all interested builders, developers, resources, and individuals interested in making an investment in new and improved housing in the area. NGage is hosting a Housing Summit on Wednesday, June 15 in Beatrice. If you'd like to learn more about this event, please call 402.228.5869.
The updated County-Wide Housing Study is available on the NGage website (click here). It was prepared by Hanna:Keelan Associates, P.C., with assistance from NGage. The study identifies a need for 446 housing units, including 283 owner and 163 rental units. A Downtown Housing Initiative targets up to 22 new housing units in Downtown Beatrice. The Study includes Goals & Action Steps and a Five-Year Housing Action Plan, identifying specific housing development initiatives. The completed study provides the County guidance in both the development and preservation of housing in each of the communities.
