On the move: Rural populations are shifting

What makes for a thriving regional economy? And why does it matter? These are questions that a lot of folks out here in rural America are asking every day. Overall, rural population has declined in recent years, according to the U.S. census.

Here in Gage County, Nebraska, we have about a dozen small communities anchored by Beatrice, our County Seat. With Lincoln just a short drive across the county line, we’re in dynamic economic region with opportunities for business.
