In the summer of 1996, a group of local citizens concerned about the future of the downtown area joined forces to bring the country's most successful community vitalization program to Beatrice.

The Beatrice Main Street program supports downtown business growth and revitalization.  They manage a revolving loan fund for businesses in providing low interest loans up to a ten year term for typically loans up to $10,000.
